Travel Time- Due to increased fuel costs we now charge travel time of at least $60.00 for those customers residing within a half hour of our office in Turtle Creek, PA. Multiple items over 300 pounds will be discounted at a rate of at least $50.00 per item. Most household furniture is not in excess of 300 pounds but the items that are require special attention & care and are handled by our most experienced movers. These items may be a triple door refrigerator, slabs of granite countertop, Armoire, China Buffet, Gun Safe, Entertainment Center or Treadmill. Specialty Item Fee- For any item weighing 300 pounds or greater a Specialty Item handling Fee of at least $300.00 will be charged. Mileage fee- if you are moving 20 miles or more from your original residence, a $1 per mile fee will be added. Payment for services and/or materials is due at the completion of the day. This incentivizes them to do a great job with your move. The more difficult it is on our guys, the more they make. STEPS/STAIRS- If there are 20 or more steps involved at any one location of your move, we will bill you at $5.00 per step. 6 men and 2 Trucks- $270.00 per hour, 3 hour minimum fee 4 men and 2 trucks- $190 per hour, 3 hour minimum feeĥ. 3 men and one 26 ft truck- $170 per hour, 3 hour minimum feeĤ. 3 men and one truck- $140 per hour, 3 hour minimum feeģ. 2 men and one truck- $110 per hour, 3 hour minimum feeĢ. Deposit is equal to one hour of whichever plan you choose and is non-refundable. I have now been sitting on hold for over an hour to try and get in touch with them.Deposits are now mandatory due to an increase of people booking and then ditching their move once we are there. We submitted our claim over two weeks ago now and have not heard a word back from them. Adding a reply to their reply below: Their system may show that we’ve been in touch with their claims team, but we have not been offered any compensation. Therefore a $500 grill that was destroyed due to their negligence may end up getting you $50 bucks, and I’m overestimating the weight. We submitted a claim over a week ago that has yet to be addressed, but I’m not overly optimistic about being appropriately compensated as my understanding of their contract is that they will only reimburse you for 60 cents per pound of a damaged item. We thought the higher price for their services would pay off but we will never use them for a move again. The guys who loaded the truck failed to secure our bed frame properly, resulting in a completely destroyed bed frame, tons of cosmetic damage to our furniture, a broken grill, and several crushed plants. Like having your belongings destroyed? Book with Bellhops! So if I were you I would belive the reviews that are out there, in all reality they probably did me a favor, at least I didn't give them a chance to wreck alot of my belongings like they did for alot of other people. THIS HAS TO BE THE MOST INCOMPETENT COMPANY IN THE MOVING BUSSINESS. And by now you probably no how that went, your right nobody called me at all. After all this time on hold she comes back to tell me she doesn't no what happened, but would have my move coordinator call me. Only to be put on hold for 15 minutes more while they were checking to see what happened. I then called the office and waited on hold for 25 minutes before I could talk to anyone. At 10AM I called his number he had texted me from and left a message, but still no response. At 10AM on the day of our move nobody had shown up so I texted the lead crew member and got no response. The lead crew member texted me around 6PM the night before confirming an 8AM arrival. The Horror Stories Are True Our move was scheduled for Jat 8AM.
